La Quinta by Wyndham PCB Coastal Palms

When I first arrived I noticed that I was close to everything I had came out there for . The longest ride was 15 mins out from the hotel. I arrived about 4 o’clock and the phones was ringing off the hook . A customer was already waiting ahead of me . But despite all that the lady who help me check in was very nice . I just recommend have 2 people up front during a busy time like that . My 2 stays was very nice . My room was clean. Only thing I didn’t like was the side door at night , my room key wasn’t unlocking that side door so my son had to run around to open it for us . I only parked close by that door because my room was right by that door. But other than that I’ll still give you all 5 stars because that same lady that helped me check in she was also there that second night this happened to me and fixed it immediately. I’m not sure what’s the lady name but I wish I knew it so she could stand out . She did a great job my entire stay .

Had a great check in experience after a horrible night. Had booked a stay at another hotel in PCB through ******* and ******* over booked it, so we were on the side of the road at 11pm trying to get another stay booked while heading into PCB. We booked another stay and when we arrived the rooms were full of mold, damaged, stained. (Both these hotels were on the beach.) So the front desk person told us she would recommend us to not stay there. At this point, it is 2am and we are trying to book for that night. As everyone knows hotel check in and check out policies are the worst and do not cater to the customer at all. We could not book through ******* again being next day, so I began calling all hotels nearby to see who had an immediate check in room available. After somewhere in the range of 30 calls the night clerk at PCB Coastal Palms informed me they had a King suite available that would accommodate myself, my wife and our 2 children. We are currently moving from Sarasota, FL to San Antonio Texas. We had been packing then traveling all day. We drove to the location, and checked in with him. It’s 3am by the time we get to our room before we are able to even get settled. He said contact the dayshift in the morning and request a late checkout it should not be a problem. Working in the oil and gas industry La Quinta was our hotel of choice. I was a Diamond member when they merged with Wyndham. I have not utilized them and some time so all my points expired and I am no longer Diamond status. When I called to ask the front about a late checkout, the clerk kept over talking me, and said “It’s not our problem that you checked in late, you’re not Diamond status, so you can’t get a late checkout.” I asked for her name, she then hung up on me. I immediately called back down, and she asked if placing on hold was ok. Before I could answer she placed me on hold and never picked back up. I called back down again, and asked her name. She identified herself as Denicia (Den-knee-see-uh) not sure on spelling. She kept over talking me, and just repeating your checkout is not extended, your checkout is not extended. Never listened to me , never stopped over talking me on either call. I have a wife and 2 children trying to rest before we begin traveling again and this type of customer service from the staff is absolutely unacceptable. The night shift clerk was amazing, but due to the rudeness and overall attitude of the dayshift clerk… I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL OR STAY HERE AGAIN.
